The 30mm opening fits my flange perfectly and the 100% silicone flexes with me during pumping, which makes a huge difference in comfort. I've tried other shields that felt stiff and pinched, but this one really does mold to your shape without any irritation.
The silicone is noticeably softer than the hard plastic shields I was using before, which makes a big difference during longer pumping sessions. It flexes and molds without digging into my skin, and the 30mm size lines up exactly with my flange.
